There are a variety of career opportunities in this fast-moving and highly competitive sector, which includes venues as diverse as family pubs, student bars and gastro pubs
Person Specification: Leading meetings to update and motivate staff;
Collecting customer feedback and acting on it to improve the overall running of the venue;
Interacting with a wide variety of people, including customers, bar staff, security staff, members of the local community and the police (public house managers also have contact with liquor licensing authorities, suppliers and tradespeople, such as electricians and furniture refurbishers).
